Your all-inclusive vacation begins the minute you step into your deluxe, air-conditioned room and step out onto your private balcony. Downstairs, the beach awaits you, whether for a lounge on a beach chair or to enjoy any number of non-motorized water sports. Kids will love the pool area’s Pirates’ Paradise Water Park and the free Club Mongoose, created especially for ages 2-12. Older kids can hang out at the Pirates’ Cove Teen Center, or maybe take a lesson on one of four championship tennis courts, all lit for night play. Daily activities and nightly entertainment (think Caribbean floor-shows, fashion shows or beach party nights) are a great way to meet other guests and plan for an evening at the Casino, dancing in the Tamarind Lounge, or just to enjoy unlimited beverages, cocktails and conversation at any of our six bars. Activities
Whether you’re gearing up for an active vacation or looking for a quiet retreat (try the giant Jacuzzi)—or the best of both—Sunset Beach Resort & Spa has options galore for you to pick from. Hourly activities are scheduled by our staff to fill your days, and you can choose from a number non-motorized water sports ranging from paddleboats, sunfish sailboats, kayaks and snorkels. Test your reflexes and sharpen your skills at mini golf, shuffleboard, giant chess and checkers or at a rousing game of basketball or beach volleyball. Kids can splash to their hearts’ content in the Pirates’ Paradise Water Park, and there are always the three freshwater swimming pools and our three beaches, one of which is clothing optional. Off site, you can enjoy adventures and sightseeing tours (at an additional cost.) Like shopping? Take Jamaica home with you at any of our gift shops.

Pirates' Paradise Waterpark
Arrrrgh, me hearties! Kids, come live out your high-seas fantasies at this one-acre paradise of slides, squirters, waterfalls, waves and more. Board an inner tube to float down Blackbeard’s Lazy River, shoot down a pair of 35-foot high, 250-foot long waterslides, walk the 40-foot high Pirate’s Plank Bridge then unwind on any of the two rooftop Jacuzzis. The Pirate Ship is perfect for children ages 2 to 12, with a kid’s pool and slide of its own.

Tennis
Pick up your racket and pick up some great pointers from our on-site tennis pros: they’ll have you hitting the ball like a Davis Cup winner in no time! Wilson rackets are available in adult and junior size, so everyone can play. We have four hard courts to choose from, with lighting for night games and an observation pavilion for your favorite cheerleaders. They’re open 24 hours a day, with the pros on call from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Fitness Factory
Work off any extra calories you might have picked up at the buffets and restaurants in style at the Fitness Factory, our air-conditioned ocean-view fitness center complete with the latest in Cybex exercise equipment, aerobics classes and free weights set in 1,088 square feet. We also have an aerobics room that’s an ample 1,615 square feet in size so you can practice yoga, Pilates and, or course, aerobics with our visiting instructors (based on availability.) Aquacise in the pool is also available, and it’s all at no additional cost to you. The gym is open from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily.

Beach and Water Sports
Our resort is surrounded by the beautiful Montego Bay Marine Park, Jamaica’s first and fully underwater national park. The protected swimming areas also offer guests superb snorkeling. We boast one of the longest stretches of private beach in Montego Bay (600 yards/550 meters), divided into three separate beaches. One is an adults-only, au natural beach, a perfect place to go if you’re looking for extra peace and quiet. Non-motorized water sports include sailfish sailboats, paddleboats, kayaks and snorkels.

Gaming Room - Casino
The over-21 crowd will enjoy non-stop, late-night fun at the Sunset Beach Resort & Spa Casino, filled with over 60 of the latest gaming machines including slots and Cadillac Jack. Small-stakes poker bets are welcome in the gaming room, so bring Lady Luck along for the ride! The Casino is open from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m.

Lime-Away Spa
A sanctuary for the senses, Lime Away Spa offers tempting seaside massages, hydrotherapy and European-style in-spa treatments designed to set your body and soul to total “vacation” mode. Pick from a menu that includes specialty therapies inspired by this alluring Caribbean island, among them, the Blue Mountain coffee-ground body scrub, a milk-and-honey body wrap, a mango manicure, a hot stone massage and the legendary Reggae Retreat package with a manicure, pedicure and 30-minute massage. The Rasta Delight option adds in a Mini-Facial. Wrap up the experience with a few lazy minutes in the sauna or the steam room. The spa boasts 9 treatment rooms and a full-service salon in its 4,000 square-foot facility. Open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Please note spa treatments are not included in the all-inclusive vacation price.

Family Travel
All-inclusive means everyone in the family is included—at Sunset Beach Resort & Spa, boredom isn’t an option! There’s plenty to do in and around the pools and even more to enjoy on the beach. With a full roster of shows, presentations and scheduled activities just for kids (and teens!) there’s never a dull moment. At night, the Jam Down Pavilion rocks and rolls, and parents can take advantage of on-site babysitting services to enjoy some special time at any of the Resorts many venues.

Club Mongoose
Located right next to the water park, Club Mongoose will fast become a favorite place to go for the 2- to 12-year-old crowd. The spacious facilities (4,442 square feet) are divided into areas with special programs for each age group. For example, 2- to 4-year olds might be making puppets and building sandcastles; 5- to 8-year olds might be on a hermit crab hunt and the older ones might be taking reggae dance classes or learning adventures about Jamaica. Hours are from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. There is also a disco, a stage for special events and a separate kids’ pool. A 24-hour nurse’s station is nearby.

Pirates' Cove Teen Center
The largest teen center in Montego Bay, reggae music fills this teen hangout that will keep them busy with arcade games and pool tables. All kids have access to tennis, basketball, shuffleboard and table tennis.

Jam Down Pavillion
The new Jam Down Pavilion entertainment center has seating for 500 and more than 15,000 square feet of space for day and evening activities, including Caribbean floor shows, cabaret artists and beach party nights.

Area Family Attractions
Our resort is perfectly located for you and your family to take advantage of the many attractions of Montego Bay. Do some sightseeing and learn about our history with a tour of Montego Bay’s city center, where you can also flex your duty-free shopping muscles. Take a horseback ride down Half Moon Bay, followed by a dip in the water at Dolphin Cove for a memorable encounter. Dive underwater in a semi-sub reef explorer, or float down the Great River on an inner tube or a bamboo raft. Whisk through the rainforest canopy on a secure zip line or visit the Windsor Caves and the Windsor Research Centre. At nightfall, head over to the Luminous Lagoon outside of Falmouth, a magical place where darting fish leave neon green trails. Jamaica is loaded with natural wonders, which serve as a verdant backdrop for our country’s rich history.

Mini-Golf
The sun is shining, the sky is blue and the gently rolling green hills of the mini golf course are calling your name. Challenge each other across its perfectly manicured nine holes. The winner gets to pick their favorite restaurant for dinner—we’ll take care of the tab. The course is open from 10 a.m. for 6 p.m.
